Morning On The North Rim, Grand Canyon

This past summer we took a wonderful trip with a stop at The Grand Canyon.
I got up early one morning and painted this view. It is always a wonderful
experience and such a privledge to be there and paint the beauty that I see. |

I sat on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon with my easel, a hungry squirrel and other sun peeping tourists. As the sun rose over the canyon a wonderful light filled the sky to flood the rocks with a colorful blanket of warmth. I am a lucky duck to have been there. This was an experience of a life time!!! |

Canyonlands Vista, Canyonlands National Park 9" x 12" Oil $40 We took a jeep ride through the park with a wonderful family from France. We were all astounded by the beauty of the place. The visual treats were almost overwhelming.

We took a boat ride on Lake MacDonald, straining to see everything while a young park ranger narrated our experience. A perfect day and beautiful experience.

We have returned to this park several times. It is a spiritual experience not to be missed. With our children we have climbed the ladders and peeked into each apartment trying to imagine family life in another time. These were America's first apartment buildings.
