In late June, we drove to the top of the world.
The snow was deep, the air cold and crisp, the view, 
beath taking!

North Gateway Rock
 Garden of the Gods, Colorado

This is the main entrance to the Garden of the Gods.
It is an exciting in your face experience to come upon these rocks
for the first time.  Mountain climbers can often be seen scaling
these rocks.  The rock on the left is called Pulpit Rock.

I got up early to catch the wonderful morning light.
It was quite and peaceful, a most enjoyable morning to paint.

It was so much fun to paint this rock while listening to a family 
joyously shout to each other as they jumped from rock to rock.

The Garden of the Gods is located quite near
Pike's Peak.  Nature has gifted us with this magical window.
When you look through it just right it frames
the "Peak".  It is so exciting to discover.
